Heat Pulse Flow Meter System

The Water Science and Technology Directorate (WSTD) of
Environment Canada requires a new Heat Pulse Flow Meter System
(HPFMS) to achieve EC deliverables on the protection and
management of aquatic ecosystems associated with groundwater -
surface water interactions. The HPFMS includes the heat pulse
flow meter, natural gamma and caliper probes, motorized winch
and tripod, surface logging console, acquisition software, all
cables/wires, accessories required for using the HPFMS (e.g.
diverters, caps, links, etc.) as well as the warranty and
technical support. Optional components include log analysis and
editing software (e.g. Well CAD or similar), centralizer kit (if
needed/available), and cases for the probes and console(s) (if
not included in the cost of the respective item).
The system will be used for research purposes at various sites
across Canada, in field settings (boreholes) for temperature
measurements (short-term and long-term monitoring) to allow for
determination of vertical groundwater movement within aquifers.
All the deliverables should be received on or before January 31,
2014, but MUST be received on or before March 31, 2014.
