Work Description:
Work to be done under this Contract covers removal of rock
outcrops in two areas adjacent to the main entrance aorad at:
Esquimalt Graving Dock, located at 825 Admirals Road, Victoria,
BC. Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is
not limited to, the following items:
-1). Clearing, soil stripping and stockpiling of stripped soil
at rock removal sites including special procedures for storing
stripped soil for recovery (by others) of native plants and
fauna.
-2). Removal of rock outcrops to design subgrade and trench
grade.
-3). Backfill rock removal areas with granular material to the
existing grade of adjacent entrance road and blend into
remaining adjacent grades.
-4). As Built site survey of all new work.
Work will be performed in accordance with the contract schedules
within the scope of work.
Delivery Date:
The work shall commence immediately upon official notification
of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and is to
be completed within six (6) weeks from Contract Award.
Site Visit:
Contractors are recommended to visit the site prior to
submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or
investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with
the site as well as the nature and extent of the work. A site
visit is scheduled on Tuesday, November 19th, 2013 at 9:00am
local time, at Esquimalt Graving Dock, located at 825 Admirals
Road, Victoria, BC. A maximum of two (2) representatives per
bidder will be permitted to examine the sites. Contractors
attending the site visit are required to show one (1) piece of
government issued ID, such as a Drivers License, and must wear
hard hat, safety boots and hi-visibility vest.
Bidders must communicate via email with the Contracting Officer
prior to the scheduled
site visit to confirm attendance.

Value of Project:
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements this project
is estimated to cost around
$200,000.00.

from Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders. Firms that elect to base their
bids on tender (solicitation) documents obtained from other
