Inspect /Repair Chain Fall Hoisting Equipment
The Department of National Defence, Canadian Forces Base (CFB)
Borden, Borden, Ontario has a requirement for a contractor to
provide all labour, materials, tools, equipment and
transportation required for the inspection, maintenance and
repairs of all Chain Fall Hoisting Equipment and Crane Lifting
Devices located in various building at CFB Borden, in accordance
with the Statement of Work at Annex A of the Request for
Proposal (RFP) document. There is a firm requirement for
scheduled inspection and maintenance services as well as
remedial maintenance services on an "as and when required basis"
through the issuance of a Task Authorization (TA).
The period of the Contract is for one (1) year from date of
award, with the option to extend the contract by up to three (3)
additional one (1) year periods.
MANDATORY SITE VISIT: It is mandatory that the Bidder or a
representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements
have been made for the site visit to be held on 19 November
2013, at 10:00 a.m., Contracts Conference Room, Room 234, 16
Ramillies Road (P-154), CFB Borden, Borden, Ontario
Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority, Marian
Shaw, by telephone 905-615-2065 and/or by e-mail at
m••••••••@••••••••.••.ca, no later than one (1) day before
the scheduled visit to confirm attendance and provide the names
of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders who do not attend or
send a representative will not be given an alternative
appointment and their bids will be rejected as non-compliant.
