Nature of Requirements:

TITLE: Lipid Raft Interaction after TBI

REQUIREMENT:
Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) - Suffield,
Medicine Hat, Alberta has a requirement to study and evaluate
the interaction between lipid rafts and glutamate receptors
after primary induced traumatic brain injury (TBI), providing a
mechanistic basis for developing medical countermeasures as per
Annex "A" - Statement of Work.

MANDATORY CRITERIA:
1. Education: Contractor must have a PhD degree in
Laboratory Medicine and Pathology
2. Experience:
Contractor must have experience in neuroscience research

To qualify a bid will have to consist of no less than 80% of
goods and/or services of Canadian origin.

CONTRACTOR SELECTION:
The contractor will be selected on the basis of the Assessed
Best Value to the Crown taking into account merit and cost
factors.

PERIOD OF CONTRACT:
It is anticipated that any contract will be effective from date
of Contract to March 31, 2014 inclusive.

ESTIMATED FUNDING:
The estimated funding available for the Contract resulting from
the bid solicitation is $100,000.00 CAD, the Goods and Services
Tax or the Harmonized Sales Tax excluded, FOB destination for
goods, customs duties and excise taxes included. This disclosure
does not commit Canada to pay the estimated funding available.
