REQUIREMENT
The Department of National Defence (DND) has a requirement for
the procurement of one (1) Echo Sounding Set to replace the
existing AN/UQN-4 Sounding Set onboard HMCS Algonquin, (herein
referred to as the Echo Sounder), and one (1) Echo Sounder
Tester/Simulator Device complete with technical data, and
technical support.
This requirement includes for the provision of a Field Service
Representative (FSR) to conduct Set-To- Work and conduct trials,
as well as training, optional procurement of additional spares,
and work arisings, as necessary.
The attached Solicitation, Statement of Work (SOW), and
Technical Statement of Requirements (TSOR) defines the
requirement for the procurement of an Echo Sounding Set for use
on Iroquois class ships.
DELIVERY
Complete delivery is requested by March 31, 2014.
FSR Support to conduct Set to Work, Trial, and Training shall be
upon installation on the Algonquin (date to be determined).

TRADE AGREEMENTS
This requirement, on behalf of the Department of National
Defence, comes under Federal Supply Classification (FSC) 5845
Underwater Sound Equipment. This exempts the procurement from
the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the World
Trade Organization - Agreement on Government Procurement
(WTO-AGP).
The requirement is subject to the provisions of the Agreement on
Internal Trade (AIT).
This procurement is subject to the Controlled Goods Program.
