Requirement:
To supply pharmaceuticals on as and when requested basis to the
federal/provincial /territorial (F/P/T) jurisdictions.
Quantity:
261 pharmaceuticals with various quantities.
Contract period:
From July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014, with an option to extend the
contract period for two additional one-year periods from July 1,
2014 to June 30, 2015 and July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016.
Delivery
Will be on an as-and-when requested basis.
Trade Agreements:
The provisions of the World Trade Organization-Agreement on
Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), North American Free Trade
Agreement (NAFTA), Canada-Chile Free Trade Agreement (CCFTA) and
Canada-Columbia Free Trade Agreement Canada- Peru Free Trade
(FTA) are not applicable for reasons connected with the
protection of human life and health (see NAFTA article 1018
para. 2 (a) and (b); WTO-AGP article XXIII (2); CCFTA Article
Kbis 16-2(b); and FTA article 1402 para. 2(b) ), and because of
the absence of regulatory harmonization between Canada and the
other signatory countries to the WTO-AGP, NAFTA CCFTA , and FTA.
This requirement is subject to the Agreement on Internal Trade
(AIT).
Canada and the Minister of Public Works & Government Services as
Agent
This requirement is for the Federal/Provincial/Territorial
(F/P/T) Group Purchasing Program for Drugs and Vaccines. Canada
is acting as a purchasing agent for Provincial and/or
Territorial Governments.
