Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada has a requirement for the
supply, delivery and installation of one (1) Agricultural Custom
Built 4 Row Planter. The planter will be used for Agricultural
Research for planting plots and small multiplications, suitable
for seeding of all seeds (grass to large beans). The equipment
must be received and installed on or before March 31, 2014.
The proposed bidders must meet all mandatory criteria detailed
in the Request for Proposal document.
Some of the mandatory criteria are provided below. Refer to the
Request for Proposal for the complete list.
M1. The bidder must provide documentation demonstrating that
their proposed Agricultural Custom Built 4 Row Planter meets
the following minimum specifications:
3 Point hitch for category I or II
Row Spacing
4 rows at 15" spacing or 38 centimetres
A distributor and individual filling capability with funnels for
single row planting of head rows
Adjustable carrying/drive wheels, size 5.00 x 15, track width
60" or 153 centimetres
Continuous sowing unit for planting small increases
Seed tube monitors
Wind and rain protection for cones
Zero till disc openers complete with depth control wheels
Press wheels complete with adjustable down pressure
Seed firmers
Gear box or zero max unit for adjusting plot length (1 to 15
meters)
Telemetric wheel to trigger planter automatically
Hydraulically operated track (row) markers on both sides of
planter
Two individual operator seats attached to planter, complete with
seat belths, adjustable seat height and adjustable fore and aft
positioning
Operator safety platform complete with railings
Adjustable seed tray holders for two (2) operators
Shield all moving parts for safety
