Requirement
Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) is reconfiguring the
river water supply at the Kitimat Hatchery. The river pump
piping will be rerouted so it bypasses the aeration tower and
pumps directly to the Hatchery Channels. Instead of the current
pumping head of 20.5m, the new required head is 15m. DFO
requires 2 new pumps capable of pumping 10,000 lpm each, for a
total maximum flow of 20,000 lpm. (see attached Statement of
Work Annex A). These new pumps must be placed in the same
location as the current 77Hp river pumps as per reference
drawing sheets number 22-35-267 and 22-35-401 and 22-35-402 and
22-35-430.
