Mandate
The mandate is to carry out the operations associated with the various research programs underway at the Frelighsburg site and to perform basic servicing of the station’s equipment in accordance with applicable operational standards. Regular work performed under this contract is estimated to require approximately two hours per day.
The term of the contract is one year from the contract award date. The contractor gives Environment Canada the irrevocable option to extend the term of the contract for a maximum of three (3) additional periods of one year each, based on the same conditions. The contractor accepts, during the extended contract period, to be paid according to the relevant terms set out in the Basis of Payment.
EC may exercise this option at any time by sending written notice to the contractor at least thirty (30) calendar days before the contract expiry date. This option may only be exercised by the contracting authority, and will be evidenced, for administrative purposes only, through a contract amendment.
