Location:
Salmo, BC - Waneta Port of Entry

Work Description:
Work of this contract comprises of the partial building envelope
repair of the Waneta Port of Entry Border Crossing, located at
10290 Highway 22A, Salmo, BC. Work to be performed under this
Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following items
covered further in the Contract documents: Building envelope
repair; removal and disposal of existing metal wall panels and
roof cladding, air barrier, and flashings as indicated,
including removal and reinstallation of existing soffit and
glazing where required. Removal and disposal of exterior wood
windows and installation of new fiberglass windows.
Installation of air barrier, rainscreen, wood panels, metal
roofing and flashings and sealants. Staining of new wood
paneling. Removal and refinishing of existing exterior doors.
Temporary removal and reinstallation of any interior furniture
(workstations) that obstruct construction.

Delivery Date:
The work shall commence immediately upon official notification
of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and is to
be completed within eighteen (18) weeks.

Site Visit:
A site visit has been scheduled for 07 November 2013 @11:00 AM.
Contractors are to meet on site at 10290 Highway 22A, Salmo, BC

• Waneta Port of Entry Building. Contractors are to note that

this is not a mandatory site visit and is optional. However, it
is recommended that contractors visit the site prior to closing.

Bidders must communicate via email with the Contracting Officer
prior to the scheduled site visit to confirm attendance.

Due to poor weather condition, the site visit scheduled for 07
November 2013 @11:00 AM had to be CANCELLED. A second site
visit has been scheduled for 14 November 2013 @11:00 AM.

Value of Project:
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project
is estimated to cost between
$100,000.00 - $115,000.00.

Firms intending to submit tenders on this project should obtain
tender (solicitation) documents through GETS - Buy and Sell.
Addenda, when issued will be available from GETS - Buy and Sell.
Firms that elect to base their bids on tender (solicitation)
documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk
and will be solely responsible to inform the tender calling
authority of their intention to bid. In all cases, bidders must
indicate (when requested) in the space provided on the tender
form the identification number (s) of the addenda, if any, that
they have taken into consideration for their bid.
