AMENDMENT # 4 The purpose of this amendment is to issue addendum - 004 in order to response to bidder's questions.1.0 BACKGROUNDReal Property Safety and Security (RPSS), Dept. of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) requires cleaning services for the Canadian Coast Guard College (CCGC) in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Professional cleaning service is required on a daily basis as the CCGC is a 24/7 operation with many students, staff and guests living at the facility. Permanent CCG staff is approximately 200 in numbers. Student population is estimated at about 150, however this number changes frequently.2.0 SITE DESCRIPTIONThe site is located at 1190 Westmount Rd., Sydney NS. The property is entirely developed and secured by 24/7 on site security. The facility is comprised of sixteen buildings with a combined area of 396,414 sq. ft. The total area to be cleaned is approximately 275,000 to 300000 sq. ft.3.0 DESCRIPTION OF WORKScope of work under this Contract comprises the provision of all labour, materials, tools, supervision and equipment necessary for complete and satisfactory janitorial services, as specified herein located at Canada Coast Guard College, Westmount, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.4.0 TERM OF CONTRACT4.1 Period of the ContractThe period of the Contract is from the date of Contract Award to December 31, 2022 inclusive.4.2 Option to Extend the ContractThe Contractor grants to Canada the irrevocable option to extend the term of the Contract by up to three(3) additional one(1) year(12 months) period(s) under the same conditions. The Contractor agrees that, during the extended period of the Contract, it will be paid in accordance with the applicable provisions as set out in the Basis of Payment.5.0 SECURITY REQUIREMENTSThis requirement contains a mandatory security requirement.6.0 MANDATORY SITE VISITDate : Monday, January 17, 2021Time : 10:15 A.M.
