The Department of Justice Canada (JUS) has the mandate to support the dual roles of the Minister of Justice and the Attorney General of Canada.
The Department of Justice Canada, British Columbia Regional Office, in the Province of British Columbia, engages in a diverse array of litigation, appearing at all levels of court from the British Columbia Superior Court, the British Columbia Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as the Federal Court, Tax Court and various other courts, boards, commissions and administrative tribunals.
There is a requirement on an “as and when” requested basis in legal proceedings that all spoken words be transcribed to verbatim transcripts. There may also be a requirement for real-time transcription. The transcripts are the official record of the legal proceeding and it is crucial that the transcripts be produced accurately and timely. As a result, the British Columbia Regional Office is seeking verbatim court reporting services.
The Request for Standing Offer (RFSO) is for court reporting services for the British Columbia Regional Office (BCRO), located in Vancouver. There are 2 service delivery areas within the Province of British Columbia. Offerors may submit offers for one or multiple service delivery areas at their sole discretion.
