The objective of this request is to obtain the services of a
Contracting to provide mental health services to inmates in a
federal correctional institution in accordance with general
accepted community standards, and provide all other work
described in the Statement of Work - Annex A.
The services will be provide to Correctional Service Canada,
Atlantic Institution, Renous (New Brunswick) during the period
from 01 September 2013, or date of award, to 31 March 2014, with
an option to extend for up to 4 additional periods of 1 year
each.
The Contractor must have the following qualifications and
experience:
Provide proof that he/she is licensed as a Psychiatrist in good
standing with his/her respective provincial College of
Physicians and Surgeons.
Provide a signed declaration that he/she is a member in good
standing with his/her respective provincial College of
Physicians and Surgeons, that there are no investigations or
judgments against the proposed psychiatrist in any area of
professional conduct, and that his/her license to practise has
no restrictions. If there are current investigations, judgments
or restrictions registered against the proposed psychiatrist,
details of them must be provided as indicated in the form.
Have experience in working in a forensic setting.
Have a minimum of 2 year work experience as a licensed
psychiatrist.
Provide proof of medical professional insurance.
Can communicate with offenders in the language of their choices
(English or French).
In case of emergencies, must be able to respond to the
institution within one hour.
Have admitting privileges at the Miramichi Regional Hospital
(Region B).
The Contractor must also meet all other requirements contain in
the solicitation document.
This requirement contains a secuirty requirement.
This PWGSC office provides procurement services to the public in
both official languages.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
