Background
Through evaluation of the Electronic/Optronic (EO) Platoon
Development Period (DP) 1 training initiatives and the future
objectives that are forecasted, the Department of National
Defence, Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers
(RCEME) School is continuing to transform the methods it trains
EO Technicians.
The RCEME School, EO Platoon does not have an effective training
aid to support AC/DC Motor and Generator that is compatible with
training aids used to instruct basic AC/DC electronic and
electrical theories. Currently, the Training Plan (TP) for AC/DC
Motor and Generator is theory based, however it has been
identified that to build a strong skill set in the fundamentals
of motor and generator, practical exercises are necessary to
reinforce these theories
Requirement
The Department of National Defence, the RCEME School has a
requirement for the supply, delivery and installation of
quantity five (5) AC/DC motor and Generator Theory Trainer
systems (Dissectible Machine Trainers) and associated courseware
and technical support in accordance with the specifications
detailed at Annex A of the Request for Proposal (RFP) document.
Delivery must be completed by 31 March 2014.
Bidders must refer to the RFP document for complete details
regarding this requirement.
Due to the nature of the bid solicitation, bids transmitted by
facsimile to PWGSC will not be accepted.
