REQUIREMENT

The Department of National Defence has a requirement to enter int
a contract for the provision for Integrated Position Keeping Sys
ems (IPKS) in ten (10) of the KINGSTON Class ships with options f
r up to two (2) additional systems.

This requirement will consist of the procurement, installation,
ntegration, testing, spares, maintenance and Integrated Logistic
upport (ILS) for the new systems.

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT

It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidd
r visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for a tour
f the work site. The work site visit in this case is a visit of
a KINGSTON Class ship.

The site visit will be held between February 27th - March 9th, 20
2 at Halifax, Nova Scotia. Further details (Visit Clearance Requ
st, agenda, exact location and timing) will be provided as Bidder
confirm to the Contracting Authority their interest in attending
the Site Visit.

Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority by e-mail
(v••••••••@••••••••.••.ca) no later than (7) calendar da
s after the issuance of this solicitation to confirm attendance a
d to provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend.

TRADE AGREEMENTS

This requirement, on behalf of the Department of National Defence
comes under Federal Supply Classification (FSC) N2010 Ship and B
at Propulsion Components. This exempts the procurement from the
orth American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the World Trade Or
anization - Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP).

The Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) applies to this procurement
