This requirement is open only to those invited TBIPS Supply Arrangement Holders who qualified under the categories for: A.7 Programmer Analyst – Level 3
The following SA Holders have been invited to submit a proposal.

Description of the requirement:
Industry Canada requires the services of two Programmer Analysts – Level 3s to assist in the delivery of the Desktop Software Renewal (DSR) project which is the implementation and roll out of Industry Canada’s Desktop Operating System from Windows XP to Windows 7, and the upgrade of the Industry Canada’s office productivity and Email tools.
The roles and responsibility will include:
oDevelop SCCM 2012 compatible installation programs / scripts (.EXEs and / or .MSIs) for the installation and automated deployment of desktop components, desktop productivity tools and/or desktop utilities, adhering to Industry Canada packaging standards, using the process and templates outlined in the Industry Canada Software Packaging Toolkit. Note that, each application script developed requires an “installation”, “repair”, and “uninstall” capability.
oProvide subject matter expertise with regard to contents of Detailed Project Plans and Schedules
oPrepare technical configuration standards documentation related to products packaged. This includes a Software Compatibility Table, Minimum Configuration Recommendations, and technical configuration details (ie: identify important configuration items, default settings, setting alternatives, recommended settings and justifications for recommendations)
oWork with IT Security to contribute to security related project deliverables as required (ie: Statement of Sensitivity, TRA, or other documentation in support of the Certification & Accreditation process),
oPrepare Rollout strategies for software components, addressing both migration and ongoing operations (strategies for various components must be aligned / integrated)
oPrepare Software Prototype Packages, including Installation strategies, Rollout Prerequisites, Technical Installation Guides & Software Prototypes
oDevelop Quality Assurance Test Plans / Scripts to validate engineering meets requirements and technical configuration standards, conduct engineering testing, and produce engineering test reports
oWhere appropriate, design, document and test Backout/Rollback Processes and software
oProduce Final Production Packages, including Technical Installation Guides & Software Packages (installation and deployment)
oPrepare Technical Support documentation, including FAQ’s, knowledge base material, documented technical processes, etc. All support instructions must be tested / validated.
oContribute to the End User Communication Package
oProduce regular project status reports
oComplete other related duties as required
The proposed period of contract shall be on an “As and when requested services” from:
Initial Contract Period: Contract award to March 31, 2014. Estimated at 145 days
Option Year Period 1: April 1, 2014 to September 30, 2014. Estimated at 126 days
