Requirement Description
Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS) has a requirement for the lease
of an incoming tracking system that would be able to register
incoming mail, produce bar codes and capture final delivery data
for tracking purposes.
This requirement is for a two (2) year lease of the full system
including the Hardware, all related accessories and Software
required to meet all of the work detailed in Annex A. The
system provided must include adequate memory to save and retain
all data for the length of the lease period. TBS is presently
receiving approximately 19,000 pieces a year.
Hardware requirements include:
I. two (2) computer networked workstations (to be connected to
an existing network line);
II. two (2) barcode printers (one for each station);
III. two (2) wedge scanners (one for each station);
IV. one (1) small laser printer connected to main system server
station (for printing reports, delivery signatures and details,
produce delivery sheet when handheld devices not available); and
V. Ten(10) handheld devices for data capture and barcode
scanning inclusive of cradles for handheld devices.
This contract is for the supply, delivery, integration and
installation of the Hardware and Software as well as any
training that would be necessary to allow users to access all of
the required features of the Hardware.
The lease term will include the provision of all preventive and
remedial service and the provision of all imaging consumables,
software and firmware upgrades, as well as the secure
destruction, deletion or overwrite of any memory retaining
modules and the removal of the Hardware at the end of the lease
period.
The hardware and software must be configured as described in
Annex A of the solicitation. The winning bidder must supply,
deliver and install all hardware and software required to meet
the requirements of the Contract.
This requirement includes the irrevocable option to extend the
term of the Contract by up to two (2) additional one (1) year
periods under the same conditions.
Delivery
All devices including accessories must be installed and
configured within 1 month of contract award.
