Billing & Tax Policy

How subscriptions, invoices and Canadian sales tax work

Last updated: 1 November 2026

1. Billing

Tendarix Pro is billed monthly in Canadian dollars, by Synapcy Development INC. (operating as Tendarix), through our payment processor, Stripe. Payment is taken at the start of each billing period. You can cancel at any time from the Billing page, and access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.

2. Sales tax

Prices exclude sales tax. Software-as-a-service subscriptions are generally taxable supplies under the Excise Tax Act (Canada). Where we charge GST/HST, the rate depends on the province or territory of your billing address:

Province / territoryTaxRate
OntarioHST13%
New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward IslandHST15%
Nova ScotiaHST14%
Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Québec, Saskatchewan, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, YukonGST5%
Outside CanadaGenerally zero-rated for non-residents, where the conditions are met0%

Provincial sales tax or Québec sales tax (QST) is billed separately only where we are registered to collect it.

3. Business subscribers and input tax credits

Canadian businesses registered for GST/HST can generally claim the tax they pay on a subscription as an input tax credit, to the extent the subscription is used in commercial activities. Please confirm your own position with your accountant.

4. Invoices and records

You can view your invoices and manage your payment method through “Manage billing” on the Billing page. We keep billing records for at least six (6) years, in line with Canada Revenue Agency record-keeping requirements.
